I decided not to spend my free time studying the evening before my first chess tournament tomorrow. Instead I decided that I wanted to create a t shirt to wear tomorrow. I will likely wear long sleeves in case it is cold in the tournament hall but I wanted to represent and kill time the knight b4 (chess joke).
I have always enjoyed playing chess but had gone 15 plus years without playing regularly. Once I started playing again at Clark Park, I wanted to improve my game. After a couple of summers I only slightly improved so I turned to YouTube and found Agadmators chess channel. This chess channel inspire me to begin to formally study and practice. When I first found his channel, I believe he had 100k subscribers, he has since grown to over 400k and now has the largest chess channel on YouTube. I am very grateful for the opportunities that I have had to learn new things. I think it is important to continue to learn things which will benefit both my personal life and my professional life. There is alot out there which can be learn from books, from others mistakes, and from my own mistake. I hope to continue improve ! On that note, I will be playing in my first chess tournament in 20 years this month. I have enjoyed studying chess again and hope to continue to improve.
